Vande Mataram not to be sung by Sikhs
After the objections raised by a section of the Muslim community, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has asked Sikhs not to sing the national song Vande Mataram on its centenary on Thursday.

I guess, people will do what people want to do, especially when it comes to faith. It doesn't matter what any government or entity says or orders them to do. This compulsary singing means nothing when it comes to one's patriotism for a country.

I agree with Sikhsrus in that people will hold their beliefs regardless what governing bodies say. People are not that gullible...I hope.
