Here Bhagat Kabeer jee is emphasising on importance of having pure heart and clean conscious besides just wearing clean clothes because just wearing clean clothes won't help you find God... Click on the shalok and read on.....

You are right Bhai Angad Singh. I just posted an opening line as the whole translation / meaning of the Shalok is right there, below the Shalok. Therefore I didnot feel it is needed to repeat by typing the whole thing again. The stress on having inside clean (if one is showing off cleanliness by sporting clean clothes on the body) is important in the shalok as without ones inside being clean, one cannot think of meeting God or chanting His Naam...
