Some Pictures of 2007....

A child labourer carries bricks in Bihar-e-Sharif town, about 60 km (37 miles) from Patna, India.

A bloodied and mud covered Eileen Shannon (C) is led away by Kieran Beer (L) and a policewoman from the scene of an explosion near Grand Central Station in New York, July 18, 2007. A transformer exploded in midtown Manhattan, creating a roar and a huge plume of smoke and sending pedestrians fleeing from the area in scenes reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

A worker cleans the windows of an apartment block in Beijing's central buisiness district.

A Sadhu, or holy man, holds a poster of Indian cricketers and shouts slogans for their good luck at Sangam, the confluence of three rivers, the Ganges, the Yamuna and the Saraswati, in the northern Indian city of Allahabad.

Desiree Fairooz of Texas, 50, jumps up in front of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice before Rice testifies before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington October 24, 2007. Fairooz, an anti-war protester waved blood-colored hands in Rice's face at a congressional hearing and shouted "war criminal!", but was pushed away and detained by police.

  • Re. child labour in Punjab, all you have to do is to take a trip down any highway and to stop at any dhaba.

Thanks for the pics Sifar. Some of them truly belong to 2007 and some others, like the child labour and the window cleaning, are timeless.
